The name "chain" (German: Kette) refers on the one hand to the design of the band (sewn-in loops that look like individual chain links) and on the other hand to the application - the training of the muscle-fascial chains. It is not a strengthening tool but is used to improve flexibility and mobility.

Tension or shortening of the front muscle chain can, for example, lead to impaired breathing, which in turn results in reduced oxygen uptake and thus reduced endurance.
